Brodie is 10 months!

i know this is a little past his 10 month birthday but i have been waiting to get these cute pictures back!

 i know so sad. my little boy is going to be a year old in 6 weeks! i can honestly say time flys! i really wish pregnancy went by this fast! haha! 

well in the last few weeks Brodie has learned so much stuff!!! he has learned to clap, crawl really fast, climb on things, pull himself up to stand up, hes working really hard on standing up with nothing around him, he is walking hanging on to things and my favorite opening drawers, anything he can get his hands on!!! and he is everywhere!!! 

he is kind of figuring out when things are funny. when Sam and i laugh at each other or  a show or even Brodie, he will start laughing with us! it is so cute! 

well this month i have given Brodie mac n cheese for the first time and he felt so big and thought it was amazing. 

as some of you know Brodie hated baby food. he would spit it out, throw it, push my hand away, whatever he could do to not eat it he could figure it out. but he eats table food like its going out of style. he is such a silly boy. 

i have really enjoyed watching his personality grow and seeing him become such a cutie. it is safe to say he is a big mommas boy!!! i love this boy so much its crazy. he is obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba. ok obsessed might be an understatement haha. Brodie loves that show. every time i play it he screams with excitement. 

this last weekend we went to the aquarium with one of my best friends and her two girls. i must say i didn't think a 10 month old could get so excited about fish! not only that he got to pet a shark and he was so excited it was funny! he touched it and screamed with excitement and everyone around us looked at him and laughed. he is seriously the greatest blessing i have ever gotten. i don't know what i would do with out him. he is so perfect for Sam and i. 

i cant wait to share the rest of our adventures with all of you.

Reflecting on 2012

well since i am just starting my blog i will tell you all about our year in 2012! and i must say it was one of our best years so far! from January to march  it was just Sam and I with little Brodie tagging along in my belly. and i must say those were the longest months of my life! those last weeks just drag on! in February i had my amazing baby shower thrown by my aunt and cousins. it was so beautiful, fun and delicious food! and i got some awesome stuff!

well the last month dragged forever and i know my family will agree with me. on the 4th of March my dad was at my belly begging Brodie to come out.... why might you ask?! well its my dads birthday and he wanted to share it so bad with him! and of coarse Brodie wouldnt budge! well on the 7th Brodie decided to make his grand entrance on my sister Josies birthday! and that day changed our lives forever! he was the cutest baby i have ever seen! (i will talk more about his birth story on his birthday). ever since day 1 Brodie has been the best baby ever! he only cries when he is hungry and something he wants he cant have! (yes spoiled!!)

well around 4 weeks Brodie started smiling back at us and i can remember both my parents crying over it and we thought it was silly they would cry but i guess it has something to do with being a grandparent that one day i will understand. well when Brodie was 6 weeks old we took him on his first vacation to Las Vegas! we went with my family and it was so much fun! we just sat by the pool the whole time and Brodie did so good! he is a sun baby for sure!

during the summer we laid by my parents pool almost every day and Brodie just laid in his swing under the tree and enjoyed life! he even loved the pool! we also took him boating and he was in heaven! i remember he was fussy from getting his shots earlier one day and my family was going boating and i wanted to see how Brodie would do. well it calmed him right down and he was so happy! he loves helping grandpa drive the boat!

we even took him to lake powell when he was 6 months and he had so much fun! we would sit on the beach right where the waves come up and Brodie would giggle as the waves ran him over! he had no idea what to do with the sand it was pretty fun. he did so good on that vacation as well!

 this last year has been full of so many new things. teaching Brodie all kinds of things and him teaching us to be good parents. every day is a new challenge for all of us. Brodie just started crawling about 2 weeks ago! i was so excited for that and everyone would tell me "just wait" "your going to regret saying that" well i must say he doesnt want to hold still!!! hes now getting into everything and its a big learning thing for us! i dont know how he manages to find things on the floor! this year has been one of my favorites and i wouldnt change it for the world. i am so excited for this year to come! i am for sure excited for Brodie to start walking so i dont have to carry him everywhere ;) (i know i know just wait! haha) i am excited for his first birthday and for this summer with him! i am excited for the new things and the years to come with my little man and my amazing husband! i hope everyones year was as good as ours!
